Take a Break mug cake

This Mother’s day bought out the chefs inside my kids. My son Rehaan made me a vanilla kit kat mug cake and named it “Take a break mug cake”.

My son is a vanilla cake lover and no other flavour holds place in his heart than a Vanilla cake with the aromatic vanilla wafting through it. To ask me to take a break from all house work and busy schedule he added chopped Kit Kat to for my love of chocolate.

Its a very easy eggless mug cake and can be enjoyed with a dollop of vanilla ice cream and sprinkles.

1/4 cup + 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

3 tablespoon granulated sugar

Pinch of salt

1 vanilla pod

1/4 tsp vanilla essence

1/4 cup + 1 tbsp. milk

2 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 strip of kit kat and 1 tbsp sprinkles

  1. Scrape out the vanilla beans from the  vanilla pods.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together dry ingredients and vanilla bean.
  3. Whisk in the milk and vegetable oil until all ingredients are combined and batter has no lumps. If you want you can mix in chocolate sprinkles at this stage.
  4. Pour batter into a microwave-safe mug. Chop Kit Kat and put on top. Microwave mug cake for 90 seconds on high.

Enjoy the moist vanilla cake as you wish.
