Homemade almonds nutella


My daughter is in love with Nutella. She loves eating it anytime. I always get tensed because the Nutella we get is mainly palm oil and sugar. I made this healthy alternative for her and now I am relaxed when she eats it.

Instead of hazelnuts, I used almonds because of their health benefits and nutrition they provide.

Take care while roasting almonds as they get over toasted very quickly and leave a bitter after taste.

Make and relish it at anytime and enjoy !!!!!



  • 2 cups dry almonds
  • 100 gram dark chocolate chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp almond oil or coconut oil
  • 2 pinch salt


  1. In a non stick pan, add the almonds and roast on medium to low heat till slightly roasted. Keep shaking in between, so its doesn’t burn. Cool them in a plate.

  2. Process almonds in a food processor or a mixer grinder till smooth. Add oil little bit at a time during this process.

  3. Then add finely chopped chocolate to almonds paste and blend until smooth.

  4. Add 2-3 tablespoons of honey as per sweetness desired. Keep tasting in between. Add 2 pinches of salt. (don’t worry, it will add a different dimension to the taste.)

  5. Add vanilla essence and blend till the desired consistency is achieved.

  6. Store in a clean glass dry jar and keep refrigerated. Stays good for upto a month in refrigerator (But it won’t last that much as its so irresistible).
